FIRE & STORY MOTION
With themes of community and folklore in mind, we created a looping animation for projection mapping at a local festival, Paper Whale's Fire & Story.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with my classmates Grace and Angel for this project at WWU. As a team we developed the story, characters, and visuals to create a unified piece. My specific contribution are the Three Eyed Man's ("Gary") design and motion, cave interior illustrations, and object illustrations.
PROCESS
A definite challenge for this project was figuring out how to utilize a vertical composition that would then be projected at a much larger scale.
MY ASSETS

We juxtaposed the mysterious shadow creatures with their reality- Gary, Terry, and Kevin, friendly beings that just want to kick back and enjoy the warmth of a fire and a cup of joe.
Our final animation projected at the Fire & Story Festival.
